Trip OverviewA relaxing summer break by traditional gulet along Turkey's Turquoise Coast. The days are long and sunny, the food fantastic and we find the perfect blend of sightseeing and relaxation as we pull into quiet coves to swim or explore ashore. Can be combined and make your stay in Turkey a little longer! We head from the fishing village of Dalayan to vibrant Marmaris and board our gulet (traditional wooden-hulled boat). We can relax, swim from the boat and head ashore from time to time to discover a coast littered with isolated bays and islands. The scenery is fabulous pine trees cling precariously to a rocky shore which drops into clear water; perfect for snorkelling. A number of options are possible for our boat: you can visit nearby Dalyan to see its hanging Lycian tombs, and the ruined Graeco-Roman city of Caunus - complete with amphitheatre and acropolis. You can soak in mud baths, whose minerals and thermal qualities are said to cure all types of ailments. And there are opportunities for occasional rambles to villages or simply along the coast. We end in cosmopolitan Gocek, filled with colourful yachts and gulets. Itinerary & Departure Dates
