Trip Overview

East of Tours in the Regal Touraine Pedal through a lush forest and emerge as if in a fairy tale, for standing proudly before you is a château of Gothic majesty, its halls rich with the trappings of nobility. Such is the landscape that you encounter with Backroads in the Loire, a beguiling mix of overt opulence and serene natural beauty. Some castles are ours to tour. Others extend an invitation to slumber, immersing us in luxury and nourishing us with world-class wines and cuisine. Around us, the gentle landscape is graced with rolling vineyards and fields of wildflowers. If you’ve dreamed of living like royalty, there’s no place more ideal.

This trips goal has been to constantly improve and perfect each and every guest’s travel experience. People take this trip year in and year out because they know this tour operator is somewhat obsessed about quality. About getting the details right. Spending time meticulously researching routes, visiting new hotels, uncovering the cultural wonders and eating at more trattorias and Michelin-starred restaurants than we would care to admit. Creating a unique vacation can often feel like a full-time job. And it is. This trip will set the stage for you to have an authentic world-class experience.
