Days 1 - 2: Bangkok. Hit the ground running and explore the chaotic city streets and serene canals of this lively capital. We take a longtail boat down the Chao Praya River to Wat Pho, home of the magnificent reclining Buddha and keeper of the magic behind Thai massage.
Day 3: Kanchanaburi. Visit the Jeath War Museum and see the 'Bridge on the River Kwai' before heading to Erawan National Park for a swim in the seven-level waterfall.
Days 4 - 5: Chao Phraya River. Kick back on the deck of our award-winning teak rice barge, pedal through the Thai countryside and stroll among the World Heritage-listed temples of Ayuthaya. The Buddha head surrounded by Banyan tree roots is perhaps the most photographed site in Ayuthaya. while Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon affords the opportunity of a glimpse into the future with a fortune telling.ge.
Days 6 - 7: Chiang Mai. Dubbed 'The Rose of the North' by the Thais for its beauty and the friendliness of the people, Chiang Mai is our base for two days. The temple of Doi Suthep provides an excellent view over town and the bustling night market is a great place to pick up local dishes. Don't miss the chance to ride an elephant!
Day 8: Homestay. Experience the quiet village life before sampling a traditional northern Thai khantoke dinner at our homestay. This is a true privilege and a chance to experience the real Thailand - something very few travellers are able to do.
Days 9 - 11: Hilltribe Trek. Experience the diversity and colour of local customs and traditions on a three day trek through remote hilltribe villages, each with their own unique language, clothing style and belief system.
Days 12 - 13: Golden Triangle. Visit another vibrant night market and learn of the recent history of this famous region with a visit to the Opium Museum.
Days 14 - 15: Bangkok. Another full day in Bangkok allows time to check out the weekend Chatuchak Market.
Days 16 - 19: Khao Sok. Our remote floating rafthouses are hidden in virgin rainforest in the shadow of the mountains. There's plenty of time to relax, swim or try an early morning rise to spot wildlife such as gibbons and hornbills.
For trips that run from May to November......
Days 20 - 24: Homestay and Ko Pha-Ngan. Crystal clear waters, idyllic islands and beaches are our playground for an island safari. Walk on beaches under the stars, feast on seafood, snorkel, swim and explore remote islands.
Days 25 - 26: Ko Samui. Glamorous Ko Samui is popular for good reason. It has a great atmosphere, many spots to sip a sunset cocktail, enjoy Thai food or just walk barefoot in the luxurious sands of perfect beaches.
For trips that run from November to April...
Days 20 - 22: Krabi. The fabulous hospitality of our homestay is always special - delicious meals and lots of fun interaction with our hosts. Moving on, we reach the stunning limestone karst scenery of the Krabi coastline.
Days 23 - 24: Ko Muk. Nestled in the southern Andaman is the beautiful island of Ko Muk. Snorkel the lively coral reefs in warm waters, relax on a perfect beach or explore the superb Emerald Cave.
Days 25 - 26: Andaman Sea. Head out on an island safari and soak up the sheer bliss of remote islands in a tropical paradise. Camp by the beach under sparkling night skies, dine on succulent seafood and explore magnificent coral bays.
Days 27 - 28: Bangkok. Take some time to enjoy more of Bangkok, before a final group dinner.
