Itinerary

Day 01: You will be collected from the airport and transferred to one of Nairobi ’s finest hotels, the Norfolk. Older than the London Ritz, younger than the Savoy , no other hotel in Kenya has as rich a history and is considered one of the world's most romantic hotels. Many of the bedrooms overlook the hotel's famous courtyards where colorful flowering trees and shrubs give a friendly 'home-away-from-home' ambience.

Day 02: After breakfast, depart to Masai Game Reserve to arrive at Mara Serena Lodge. An afternoon game drive should be our best opportunity to spot the big cats of Mara at hunt. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest. Evening entertainment by the Maasai cultural dancers will be enjoyed. B L D

Day 03: You will have an early morning game drive in the reserve, as this is the best time to spot animals while they are still active. An optional early morning balloon ride can be arranged for you – ask your travel agent. It is arguably the world’s most famous game reserve with unrivalled natural beauty and wildlife concentration. It forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. It is home to all the big five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and the rhino). Over 95 species of mammals are found in this great reserve. Besides mammals, over 350 bird species have been recorded here and the scenic beauty is wonderful – your camcorders and cameras will agree. Unmatched game viewing in this reserve makes it a popular base for safari exploration. A safari to East Africa is never complete without a visit to the reserve and many people have referred to it as a ‘must go’ safari destination. B L D

Day 04: Early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi with an enroute game viewing and stopover at the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Nairobi for an overnight rest at the Norfolk Hotel. B L D

Day 5 :  We leave Nairobi and pass through the Athi Plains, the home of the proud Masai tribe, to Amboseli National Park. The greatest attraction is the vast herds of Elephant within the park and the bull Elephant that have the longest tusks in Kenya. Arrive at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch. The evening game drive will complete this full day and allow you to have seen and experienced the wilds of Africa in its natural state. Amboseli National Park is dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro , the highest mountain in Africa. Dinner will be served at the Lodge restaurant. B L D

Day 06: Morning game drive. After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi where you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. Ask your travel agent about optional extensions to Zanzibar , or Lamu , Kenya ’s best kept secret. B
