Itinerary

Day 01: You will be collected from the airport and transferred to one of Nairobi ’s finest hotels, the Norfolk. Older than the London Ritz, younger than the Savoy , no other hotel in Kenya has as rich a history and is considered one of the world's most romantic hotels. Many of the bedrooms overlook the hotel's famous courtyards where colorful flowering trees and shrubs give a friendly 'home-away-from-home' ambience.

Day 02: We leave Nairobi and pass through the Athi Plains, the home of the proud Masai tribe, to Amboseli National Park. The greatest attraction is the vast herds of Elephant within the park and the bull Elephant that have the longest tusks in Kenya. Arrive at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch. The evening game drive will complete this full day and allow you to have seen and experienced the wilds of Africa in its natural state. Amboseli National Park is dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro , the highest mountain in Africa. Dinner will be served at the Lodge restaurant. B L D

Day 03: Full day spent in this magnificent park with early morning and late evening game drives both for the quality of viewing and for the atmosphere of the wilds of Africa. Mount Kilimanjaro will provide a beautiful backdrop. Meals and overnight will be provided at the lodge. B L D

Day 04: After breakfast, we drive back to Nairobi in time for lunch. After lunch we continue through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru Lion Hill Lodge is set on a plateau according a panoramic view of the pink colored shores of the lake from your private verandah. You will have an afternoon game drive in this park, which is known the world over as the greatest ornithological spectacle! The lake attracts thousands of lesser and greater flamingos. Not only does this lake boast of being a bird’s paradise, it is also a rhino sanctuary for the highly endangered black and white rhinos. Other animals found here include cheetahs, leopards, lions, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, and giraffe amongst others. B L D

Day 05: After breakfast, depart to Masai Game Reserve to arrive at Mara Serena Lodge. The lodge features individual rooms, each with their own balcony and view of eternity, a sky-blue swimming pool and a spectacular restaurant overlooking a water hole. An afternoon game drive should be our best opportunity to spot the big cats of Mara at hunt. Return to the lodge at 1830 hrs for dinner and overnight rest. B L D

Day 06: You will have an early morning game drive in the reserve, being the best time to spot animals while they are still active. An optional early morning balloon ride can be arranged for you – ask your Travel agent. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the morning and afternoon at leisure – an optional visit to a Masai village can be arranged as well. An afternoon game drive and dinner at the lodge are on the evening’s agenda. B L D

Day 07: Early morning game drive before breakfast is recommended, this being the best time to see the nocturnal animals when they are still active in their natural habitat, especially the cats. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi , with an enroute game viewing and stopover at the Great Rift Valley. B
