Day 01: You will be collected from the airport and briefed on your safari before you proceed to Amboseli National Park to stay at the Serena Lodge. Amboseli offers the romantic and panoramic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro - The Roof of Africa. The evening game drive will complete this full day and allows you to have seen and experienced the wilds of Africa in its natural state.
Note: As this safari departs in the early morning you may need one pre-tour night in Nairobi. Or ask your agent about starting your trip with a 3-day beach stay at Lamu Island , Kenya ’s best-kept secret. A great option as it allows you time to adjust to the time difference. L D
Day 02: Full day spent in this magnificent park with early morning and late evening game drives both for the quality of viewing and for the atmosphere of the wilds of Africa. Meals and overnight will be provided at the Serena Lodge; this very traditional yet supremely luxurious lodge is the safari destination of a lifetime. B L D
Day 03: After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi , on our way Lake Naivasha. We arrive at Loldia House, one of Kenya ’s oldest farms, in time for lunch. The lodge offers a choice of eight en suite double bedrooms in the old family house and individual cottages. Each has breathtaking views across Lake Naivasha to the dormant volcano of Mount Longonot. Rooms are decorated in colonial style with original furniture. Afternoon is free for a bird-walk, and a visit to Crescent Island should not be missed. It is one of the few places in the whole of Africa where you can wander on foot among herds of zebra, waterbuck, gazelle and giraffe. The imaginative visitor will feel like a turn of the century explorer. The views of the Mau escarpment and Mt. Longonot are special, even by Kenyan standards. B L D
Day 04: After breakfast, depart to Masai Game Reserve to arrive at Mara Serena Lodge. The lodge features individual rooms, each with their own balcony and view of eternity, a sky-blue swimming pool and a spectacular restaurant overlooking a water hole. An afternoon game drive should be our best opportunity to spot the big cats of Mara at hunt. B L D
Day 05: You will have an early morning game drive in the reserve, being the best time to spot animals while they are still active. An optional early morning balloon ride can be arranged for you – ask your Travel agent. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the morning and afternoon at leisure – an optional visit to a Masai village can be arranged as well. An afternoon game drive and dinner at the lodge are on the evening’s agenda. B L D
Day 06: Early morning game drive before breakfast is recommended, this being the best time to see the nocturnal animals when they are still active in their natural habitat especially cats. 0800 hrs return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi with an enroute game viewing and stopover at the Great Rift Valley. B
