Itinerary

Day 1: You will be collected from the airport and transferred to one of Nairobi ’s finest hotels, the Norfolk. Older than the London Ritz, younger than the Savoy , no other hotel in Kenya has as rich a history and is considered one of the world's most romantic hotels. Many of the bedrooms overlook the hotel's famous courtyards where colorful flowering trees and shrubs give a friendly 'home-away-from-home' ambience.

Day 2 : We depart in the morning for the drive north to the Mount Kenya National Reserve, housing Africa ’s second highest mountain. Check in at the Serena Mountain Lodge in time for your lunch, dinner and overnight. The only ‘tree hotel’ ever to be built on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Serena Mountain Lodge offers a matchless game viewing opportunity while combining a glorious panorama of mountain vistas with the primordial splendors of an ancient rainforest. Day 3: After breakfast, we travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru Lion Hill Lodge is set on a plateau according a panoramic view of the pink colored shores of the lake from your private verandah. You will have an afternoon game drive in this park, which is known the world over as the greatest ornithological spectacle! The lake attracts thousands of lesser and greater flamingos. Not only does this lake boast of being a bird’s paradise, it is also a rhino sanctuary for the highly endangered black and white rhinos. Other animals found here include cheetahs, leopards, lions, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, and giraffe amongst others. B L D

Day 04: After breakfast, depart to Masai Game Reserve to arrive at Mara Serena Lodge. The lodge features individual rooms, each with their own balcony and view of eternity, a sky-blue swimming pool and a spectacular restaurant overlooking a water hole. An afternoon game drive should be our best opportunity to spot the big cats of Mara at hunt. Return to the lodge at 1830 hrs for dinner and overnight rest. B L D

Day 05: You will have an early morning game drive in the reserve, being the best time to spot animals while they are still active. An optional early morning balloon ride can be arranged for you – ask your Big Earth agent. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the morning and afternoon at leisure – an optional visit to a Masai village can be arranged as well. An afternoon game drive and dinner at the lodge are on the evening’s agenda. B L D

Day 06: Early morning game drive before breakfast is recommended, this being the best time to see the nocturnal animals when they are still active in their natural habitat, especially the cats. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi , with an enroute game viewing and stopover at the Great Rift Valley. B
