Day 3: After breakfast drive to Samburu Game Reserve, enjoying a picnic lunch on the way. You will arrive at Samburu during the late afternoon. Samburu Game Reserve is a semi-arid, open savannah plain broken by small rugged hills in Kenya ’s Northern province. The highlight of this reserve is its rare animals such as Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, the long necked Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. In the afternoon there will be a game drive in the reserve to look for these rare animals. Because Samburu is designated a game reserve (not a National Park) driving off-road in search of game is permitted. BLD

The combination of the dawn light and the fresh morning air is complimented by the wide variety of game life active at this time of the day. Return to the mobile camp for breakfast and lunch. A late afternoon game drive offers a no less exciting view of the animals with the evening sun providing a wonderful back drop to the animals going about their daily lives. BLD
